    Description

    Traditional real wood wooden nickel token advertising for Bill Dowdy Music Enterprises in Battle Creek MI. No address but there is a phone number given with 616 area code. Bill passed away in 2017. He was well known as a Michigan native son musician but was actually born in Arkansas before moving to Benton Harbor MI at about 6 months of age. Drums and piano were his mainstay and he had a long career performing in Chicago. Lots of info on the web. Great condition vintage token.  Token was for his work training others to play. Based on the age of all the other tokens I would put this in late 1960's era.
