Vintage or Antique Guatemala? huipil-purple, green, pink, black, blue & others

This is an auction for what I believe is a Guatemalan huipil.  The shape and workmanship resembles what I see on eBay, but I am not knowledgeable on fabric, or this type of folk art. It is certainly not new, but I do not know the age.   The piece is incredibly done with what I think is a handwoven cloth base, covered with dense embroidery, and kind of strange ribbons on the ends of the sleeves on what I think is the front of the piece.   The base fabric is edged in blue, purple  and orangish red, and the embroidery is primarily blue, green, black, purple and  pink.  The embroidery is not on the interior of the blouse, except along the shoulders.  See the photos of the inside of the piece. The area around the neckline is quite frayed, and there are stains on the white portion of the item both on the outside and inside.  There are also some broken threads, which I have not clipped off.   I believe the photos show the condition accurately.  If you have questions or wish to see additional photos, please email me and I will respond as quickly as I am able.  The piece is very wide--about 38 inches across the shoulders, and only about 24 inches long. The successful bidder will be responsible for payment of sales tax in addition to the purchase price and cost of mailing.
