Over the years I've enjoyed collecting vintage ethnic clothing, that if I don't wear, I hide away to be taken out and admired once in a while. Also, once in a while, I decide it's time to pass on to someone else who will hopefully wear them and enjoy them too! :-)
Wonderful embroidered colorful flowers adorn this traditional Mexican Huipil top.

The huipil has been worn by indigenous women of the Mesoamerican region (central Mexico into Central America) of both high and low social rank since well before the arrival of the Spanish to the Americas. It remains the most common female indigenous garment still in use.
