    Description

    Rare Old Dedham Pottery Horse Chestnut Blue and White Dinner Plate 9 7/8"
    Presented is a fabulous Dedham Pottery dinner plate.  This piece dates to around
    1910-1920. This piece is made in the distinctive Horse Chestnut pattern,
    featuring designs of horse chestnuts in cobalt blue against the crackled glaze
    typical of Dedham work. This is a very desirable pattern in Dedham pieces, and
    plates of this size in this pattern are hard to find today.
    This piece is in great condition. There are no chips, no cracks, no breaks,
    and no repairs. There are some irregularities to the glaze here and there as is
    typical of Dedham pieces, but that is original to the making of the piece and
    not a sign of any damage or flaw.
    The plate is marked on the underside with the Dedham mark in blue.
    The plate is about 9 7/8 inches in diameter.
