Description
The Nicaragua 50 Cordobas banknote is part of the 1984 issues. It is purple, pink, orange, light green, and light blue in color and measures 156 x 67 mm. The obverse side shows the founder of the Sandinista National Liberation Front, Comandante Carlos Fonseca Amador. The reverse side features soldiers with rifles and a flag atop a vehicle amid the crowd outside Metropolitan Cathedral of Managua in Plaza de la Replica on liberation day, 19 July 1979 (D de la Liberaci-19 de Julio de 1979). This TAP Authenticated banknote uses a solid security thread and contains a watermark with an Augusto Car Sandino design.
