I recently got in a shipment from Pueblawith a group of traditional blouses....
. This one was was
made in the Nahua Municipio de Naupan
in Puebla Mexico
. The geometric embroidery on the bodice is hand done with a fine wool thread
created using
Tecnica de Bordado Hilvanado
/ Basted Embroidery Technique. And the
neckline, shoulders and ruffles were
machine embroidered with a peddle sewing machine
.
The fabric is a medium weight 100% Cotton. This extraordinary blouse was made by a woman named
Alicia Moralea.
It measures;
15 inches across the shoulders and 22 inches from arm pit to arm pit (total 44 inches around) and 27 inches Long.
It will fit a Medium Size woman.
This Blouse is a wonderful example of
