Mayan Padded Shoulder Bag Morral Plum Dusty Rose & Tan Handwoven Chiapas Mexico

I just returned from Chiapas where I purchase a number of these small Bags / Morrals.  They are
all hand woven by Tzotzil Mayan women of San Andrés Larrainzar.
This piece was hand woven on a
back strap loom
with traditional images from
Mayan culture
on the front.
This bag has been
padded on the inside
and because of this padding and it's size, it is the
perfect bag to protect your cell phone!!
There is a
zipper closure at the top.
It measures;  8 1/4 inches wide by 6 1/2 inches tall.   The braided strap is 59 inches long.
It
is a lovely color combination of
Plum with brocade details done in Dusty Rose and Tan
....
and is a
nice
practical
size, for when you only need to carry a few items....
It is a really lovely bag and has a wonderful ethnic Hippie, Boho Chic feel to it!
This is a wonderful example of Mexican Folk art, and is a very reasonable price for the amount of work that has gone into creating it!
