Cascade HDMI signal from receiver to receiver to create a scalable audio/video distribution system and send media device content to up to 10 TVs around a building or home.
Ability to downscale from 4K to 1080p, allowing you to incorporate different displays, new and old. Without this feature, every display would downgrade to the resolution of the lowest grade display and you wouldn't be able to utilize your 4K TVs. If you plan on downscaling, the first receiver (RX #1) in line must be connected to a 4K display and the transmitter connected to a 4K enabled source.
