    The Kankakee Centennial celebrations took place from 1850-1950. In this set, there are 14 souvenir items in total. There are two original kankakee centennial buttons, a Kankakee Centurama performance coupon, a collection of 10 wooden nickels, and a Kankakee Centennial sticker. The collection of genuine wooden nickels range from a face value of 1-5. These nickels were eligible for exchange trade in any store in Kankakee and was redeemable anywhere in the US for face value. These wooden nickels are a one of a kind, complete, original collection. Each picture on the nickel is different from the next featuring different people and landmarks from Kankakee and Illinois. This is a great collectors piece that demonstrates the rich history of Kankakee, Illinois. Each wooden token is 4" long and 2 1/2" wide.
