so consider this item as not new and defective in some manner.
Also consider this item as missing a part/material/shade that it likely had when it was new and over the years does not have now.
Also after continued use over the years please consider this item as damaged
because
it is not new any longer.-- washing machines can be deemed as damaging to a new material.  Sun and closet storage can damage an item that was new and now is not new.
