    New Style of Huipil

    Tzotzil

    Zinacantan in the highlands of
    Chiapas.
This top was entirely handwoven on a back strap loom where they
pull some of the threads out to make nubby contrast colors stand out and give it a textured look
    .  The
weavers from Chiapas are very sophisticated in their techniques, designs and color combinations....
    these particular tunics are
    very modern in their
    design
    aesthetic.
I have a number of these new Huipils in the most interesting color combinations....

It is a wonderful example of contemporary fashion trends such as,
Frida Kahlo, Fiesta, Santa Fe, Hippie, Boho, Peasant, Gypsy, South Western, Cowgirl Style.
